After a year and a half The.Matrix-ASCII DVD torrent is gone. Thank you all who kept it going for so long.

The.Matrix-ASCII is the original Matrix movie encoded in text. The finished product is an MPEG-2 file 7989979136 bytes in size, too large to fit on a DVD5. I re-encoded the ASCII movie to fit on a standard DVDR.

Because I love this movie.
This was the first thing I thought of when I first saw AA-Lib with MPlayer. I have to admit I did not think of it when I saw ttyquake. After I watched The Matrix with MPlayer on a Linux console I wanted it to be green and I wanted to be able to watch it anywhere.

you definitely wouldn't want to watch a movie in ASCII if it's your first viewing (sometimes the picture is a bit hard to make out), but it's definitely a cool toy. if you have super nerdy friends, put it on in the background of your party and watch the geeks flock...

This is absolutley INCREDIBLE!!! EASILY one of the coolest things I've EVER seen! Where'd you get the notion to do something like this!?!?!?! I've got so many questions and damn I'm still in AWE. But I had to take a moment and let you know that your work is HIGHLY appreciated.

dude, tell me what to do with this Matrix ASCII, cause the picture is all green n stuff, cant even see what's going on. And, its in 4 VOB files, but why?
